Most cookie policies are long because most sites track their visitors. This one is short for the opposite reason.
This website sets no advertising cookies, no analytics cookies, and no third-party tracking cookies. There is nothing here to consent to, which is why you were not shown a banner asking you to.
What is actually stored

Local storage is not a cookie — it is not transmitted with requests, so it never reaches our server. Your theme choice stays on your device and we cannot see it.
The site may also set short-lived functional cookies required by the web framework it runs on, for example to make a form submission work. These carry no identifier that is useful for tracking and are not read for any purpose beyond serving the request.
What is not here
No Google Analytics. No Meta pixel. No advertising network. No session recording. No heatmaps. No cross-site identifiers, and nothing shared with a data broker.
We are not claiming credit for restraint — we simply do not need the data, and collecting it would mean asking you for consent we would rather not have to ask for.
Controlling what is stored
Clearing site data in your browser removes your theme preference; the site will then follow your operating system's light or dark setting until you choose again. Blocking storage for this site entirely will not break it — the theme toggle will just stop remembering.
If this changes
If we ever add analytics, this page will be updated before it goes live, and a consent mechanism will be in place first for anyone in a jurisdiction that requires one. We will not add tracking quietly and update the policy afterwards.
